A Month Later
A month ago I stopped smoking.
I’ve gone a full month as of today without smoking. I have to admit I’m quite proud of myself for this GREAT accomplishment. As to what I am going to do as a reward for myself I’m not sure. I do know though that I can be proud that I am already living a more healthy life.
Any ideas as to what I should purchase myself? Under 39 dollars.

So Far So Good
So I haven’t smoked since Thursday and to be honest with you things are starting to get much easier.
I’m not really chewing that much of the anti-smoking gum and instead have been doing as Dawn suggested in a comment and been chewing just regular, plain, old, chewing gum.
The cravings come and go but I’ve noticed they are more out of habit then need.
Also I haven’t had a real major craving since last night. Today has been smooth sailing and I think this is the first real time that I haven’t had a relapse right away and done so well.
Thanks to everyone for the words of encouragement and keep them coming because this ordeal isn’t over yet.

The Time Is Now
So I’ve decided to quit smoking as many of you know.
I’ve got my anti-smoking gum and I’ve busted it out.
ITS HORRIBLE. It tastes bad, it burns, it hurts and it sucks… yet I am still chewing it.
Why? Because I haven’t smoked today and I’m starting to feel depserate.
I remain confident that I will be able to pull this off.
More updates coming soon.

My Journey
One thing that I previously talked about on this blog is that I’ve been wanting to quit smoking once and for all.
Believe me it is a NASTY habit. One that I wish I had never started.
Quitting isn’t as easy as most non-smokers believe. It has a physical and mental addition related to it.
I’ve tried quitting before but haven’t had the proper support network, and the right tools at my disposal.
For my next attempt I’ve equipped myself with a stop smoking gum, with people who are supporting me, and a written plan to help me quit.
My quit date is Thursday, February 22nd.
I plan on blogging here a bit about how everything is going for me and my status as I go along with helpful tips and information I find along the way.
Your support is appreciated to help me become a healthier person. ![]()

My 2008 Commitments
I don’t do New Years Resolutions.
I have made the following commitments to 2008 though.
- To not blog once each daily, weekly, or monthly but to blog when I feel I have something to share or say. I don’t want to post crap each day just because I said I’d post every single day.
- With that thought in mind I do promise to give my blog some much needed attention though.
- To quit smoking once and for all.
- To make at least five new close friends this year.
- To play Age of Conan to the maximum level.
- To stop playing World of Warcraft as much.
- To reach the maximum level in Mythos before the next beta server wipe.
- To drop at least ten pounds.
